더불어민주당 대전 중구청장 후보로 김제선 현 구청장이 최종 확정되면서, 6·3 지방선거를 향한 대전 지역 대진표가 완성됐다.
민주당 대전시당은 지난 17일 지난 15일 부터16일까지 실시된 중구청장 후보 선출 결선 투표 결과, 김제선 후보가 육상래 후보를 누르고 본선 진출권을 거머쥐었다고 발표했다.
2024년 재선거를 통해 구정에 입성한 김 청장은 짧은 재임 기간에도 불구하고 안정적인 조직 관리와 현장 중심의 소통 행정을 펼친 점이 당심과 민심을 동시에 잡는 결정적 요인이 된 것으로 분석된다.
