[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원시는 28일 오전 진해구 이순신리더쉽국제센터에서 창원산업진흥원, (사)MRO융합기술원과 “한국형 항공모함 도입과 함정 MRO 방위산업 클러스터 추진 특별세미나”를 개최했다.

이어 “해군을 중심으로 공군과 육군의 인프라가 집적되어있는 곳은 이곳 진해 밖에 없다. 동남권 국제공항이 인접해있고, 육군종합정비창 산하 항공기정비단이 위치하여 해군의 함대전력과 공군의 항공전력의 연계성이 가장 높은 지역이다”말하고 “항공모함은 변화하는 주변국들의 견제에 대응할 현대판 거북선이다”며 “진해가 가지고 있는 장점이 해군과의 협력과 어우려져 성공적으로 사업이 추진될 수 있도록 지방정부 차원의 온 행정적 역량을 집중하겠다”고 강조했다.
