[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원시는 관내 수산물 수출업체가 ‘제26회 경상남도 농수산물 수출탑’ 수산물 부문에 선정되어 수출탑 수상의 영광을 안았다고 31일 밝혔다.
창원시 성산구 소재 동원F&B창원공장이 1000만불탑을, 진해구 소재 동오식품 주식회사가 700만불탑을 각각 수상했다.
이번 제26회 경상남도 농수산물 수출탑 수상업체 중 수산물 수출탑 수상업체는 총 6개 업체이나, 아쉽게도 코로나19 오미크론 확산 방지를 위해 시상식은 취소됐다.
이에 시는 자체 전수식을 마련하여 어려운 여건 속에서도 수출탑을 수상한 기업을 격려하고 수출 동향 및 의견을 청취했다.
동원F&B 창원공장은 1988년 9월에 설립되어 참치 가공품을 꾸준히 수출하고 있는 업체로, 주요 수출국은 일본, 중국 등이고, 동오식품 주식회사는 1973년 6월에 설립되어 해조류 가공품을 미국, 유럽 등에 수출하는 업체이다.
강호권 창원시 수산과장은 “어려운 여건 속에서 수산물 수출 1000만불 탑과 700만불 탑 수상을 축하한다”며 “시는 수산물 수출 활성화를 위하여 수출주력품종 육성지원, 지역특산물 수출시장개척 지원 및 온오프라인 수출상담회·박람회 참가 지원 등 시책 추진으로 수출 촉진에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
