경남교육청, 10개 인권친화모델학교 설명회 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도교육청은 인권 친화적 학교문화를 조성하고 인권 교육을 활성화하고자 ‘인권친화모델학교’를 운영한다.

경남교육청은 1일 인권친화모델학교 10개 학교에 현판을 수여하고 해당 학교의 학교장, 학급 교사, 학생 대표들을 대상으로 운영 설명회를 열어 정책 방향과 교육 프로그램 실천 사례를 공유했다.

인권친화모델학교는 △거제상동초 △장평초 △무안초 △안골포초 △곤명중 △신주중 △칠원중 △경남전자고 △마산여자고 △하동고 등 10개 학교다.

전국 최초로 추진하는 인권친화모델학교는 교육 공동체인 학생, 학부모(보호자), 교직원이 각자의 권리를 인식하고 상호 존중하고 옹호하는 학교를 말한다. ‘인권에 대한, 인권을 통한, 인권을 위한 교육’ 프로그램을 설계하고 운영한다. 학교생활과 교육 활동 과정에서 발생하는 인권 문제를 해결할 수 있는 역량을 키우고 교육 공동체에 영향을 미치는 학교생활의 의사결정과정에 참여할 기회를 보장한다.

인권친화모델학교는 공개 모집을 거쳐 희망 학교를 선정했으며 학생 수에 따라 1,000만 원~1,500만 원의 예산을 지원한다.

송호찬 민주시민교육과장은 “인권친화모델학교가 적극적으로 소통하고 참여하여 인권 감수성과 문제를 해결하는 역량을 키우는 경남형 미래학교의 모범이 되어달라”라고 당부했다.
