고양시는 지속가능한 탄소중립도시를 조성하고 ‘고양형 저탄소 임대주택’을 공급하기 위해 한국건설기술연구원과 기술협력 업무협약을 지난 19일 체결했다고 밝혔다.
시는 녹색건축 활성화를 통해 건축물 부문 온실가스를 감축하고 파리기후변화 협약을 이행하기 위해 노력해왔다.
이번 협약에 따라 시와 한국건설기술연구원은 고양형 임대주택에 장수명 주택 기술과 제로에너지 건축 자재 혁신 기술을 도입할 계획이다.

장수명.제로에너지 기술을 공동주택형 임대주택에 사용하는 사례는 고양형 임대주택이 전국 최초다.
장수명 주택 기술은 다양한 주거 공간에 대한 요구에 대응할 수 있도록 내구성, 가변성, 수리용이성에 특화된 기술을 말한다.
제로에너지 건축자재 혁신 기술은 에너지 절약형 건축자재를 적용하여 공공 공동주택의 에너지 효율 성능을 개선하는 기술이다.
고양시의 첫 번째 저탄소 임대주택은 토당동 시유지(토당동 858번지 일원)에 약 100세대 이상 규모의 신축매입약정형 임대주택으로 지어진다. 시는 2024년 하반기 준공 및 입주를 예상하고 있다.
시는 고양형 저탄소 임대주택을 청년 및 신혼부부에게 시세의 50%~80% 수준의 임대료로 공급할 예정이다.
지역의 정주여건 개선을 위하여 인근 주민이 함께 이용할 수 있는 주민공동이용시설도 함께 건립한다.
