고양시가 마두1동 주민과 정발산둘레길 미 개설 구간을 탐방했다고 21일 전했다.
고양시 공원관리과는 이날 주민과 함께 미개설 구간 사업 시행의 필요성과 방법, 문제 해결방안 등을 논의했다.
2021년 조성이 완료된 「정발산둘레길」은 무장애 산책로로 조성되어 남녀노소 누구나 편안하게 걸을 수 있으며 맨발 걷기 구간, 세족장 등의 시설이 갖춰져 주민의 높은 호응을 받았다.
하지만 일부 구간(정발산입구~잔디광장, 1.5km)은 인근 주민의 사생활침해 우려 등의 민원이 제기되어 둘레길을 개설하지 못했다.
동시에 지속적인 미개설 구간 개설 요구도 이어지고 있어 시는 우회로 등의 대체 노선 조성 방법을 모색하고 있다.

시는 지역주민과 함께 해결 방안을 찾기 위해 지난 19일 미개설 구간 탐방을 실시했다. 정발산둘레길 조성 사업에 대한 이해를 돕고 예산 확보 등에서 협력을 얻기 위해 지역구의원 및 지역 환경단체도 참석했다.
이날 참석자들은 미개설 구간을 탐방하며 사업 시행의 필요성과 대체 노선 개설 방법, 문제 해결 방법 등을 논의 했다.
