대전시의회 이상래 의장이 제18대 대한민국시도의장협의회 전반기 감사로 선임됐다.

대한민국시도의회의장협의회는 17개 시도의회 의장을 회원으로 하는 기관으로, 공동이해 관계가 있는 현안에 대해 사전협의하고 채택된 안건을 중앙부처에 적극 건의하는 등 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다.

지난 20일 서울시 소재 프레지던트 호텔에서 개최된 2022년 대한민국시도의회의장협의회 제5차 임시회에서는 지방의회법 조속 제정 촉구 건의안 ,지방자치분권 및 지역균형발전에 관한 특별법안 개정 건의안 ,원자력안전교부세 신설 '지방교부세법'개정 건의안 등 22개 안건을 심의·의결했다.
