김시라 품바공연 42년 역사와 미래를 주제로 한 학술세미나가 고인 작고 22주기 기일인 6일 국회의원회관 대회의실에서 500여명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 열렸다. 무안 출신 서삼석 국회의원과 무안군(군수 김산)주최, 극단 가가의회(대표 박정재) 김시라품바문화재단추진위(위원장 이수찬)가 주관한 이번 행사에 무안군민, 연극인 등이 대회의실을 채웠다.
1부와 2부 그리고 3부로 나뉘어 개최된 행사로 1부는 개회식, 2부는 학술세미나, 3부는 김시라품바문화대상 시상식 순으로 진행됐다.
홍익표 국회문화체육관광위원장은 "최다 최장 공연인 <품바>를 무안군 뿐 아니라 온국민과 함께 할수 있도록 지원방안을 강구하겠다" 고 축사에서 밝혔다. 서삼석 의원은 "김시라의 정신을 계승하여 그 가치를 지속 발전시키자"고 강조했다. 김산 무안군수는 "품바 정신은 살리되 가난은 잇지말자"며 "<품바>를 무안의 중요 문화콘텐츠로 육성하겠다"고 말했다. 생할연극협회 이사인 박정재 대표는 "<품바>는 여러분의 것, 우리들의 이야기"라고 했다. 특히, 이병훈 더불어민주당 광주시당 위원장, 신정훈 더불어민주당 전남도당 위원장이 축사를 통해 김시라품바문화재단설립과 김시라 문학관 건립에 적극적으로 협력하겠다고 밝혔다.
한편, 김시라 배우의 아들 김현재, 딸 김추리 배우와 여동생 김향신씨가 축하 노래와 추모의 글을 읽었다.
