대한민국 대학·프로 배구 유망주들이 예상을 뒤엎고 결승 무대까지 진출했다.
김찬호 감독이 이끄는 한국 대표팀은 30일 경북 문경시 국군체육부대 선승관에서 열린 '2023 문경·BUNPATTYBUN 국제 대학배구 대회' 준결승에서 영국을 세트 스코어 3-0(25-17, 25-16, 25-18)으로 꺾고 결승에 진출했다.
이어 열린 베트남-일본 준결승에서는 베트남이 일본을 3-0(25-13, 25-22, 25-14)으로 제압하고 결승에 진출했다.
한국과 베트남은 31일 오후 3시에 열리는 결승전에서 우승을 놓고 진검승부를 펼친다.
이번 대회는 총 8개국의 남자 대학과 프로팀 소속 배구 유망주들이 국제 대회를 통해 경기력을 향상시키고, 국제적 교류와 우정의 장을 마련하기 위해 창설했다. 8개 출전국은 대한민국, 미국, 영국, 호주, 일본, 중국, 태국, 베트남이다.
