브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한동훈 법무부 장관은 27일 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 구속 영장이 기각된 데 대해 "이 대표에 대한 결정 내용은 죄가 없다는 게 아니다"라고 밝혔다.
한동훈 장관은 이날 오전 출근길에 기자들과 만나 "구속영장 결정은 범죄 수사를 위한 중간 과정"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "법무부 장관으로서 영장판사의 세부 판단에 대해 평가하는 건 적절치 않다"면서 "검찰은 그간 절차에 따라 공정히 수사해 왔고 앞으로도 그렇게 할 것"이라고 원론적 입장을 견지했다.
이어 그는 "정치인이 범죄를 저지른다고 해서 사법이 정치가 되는 건 아니고 그래서도 안 된다"며 "흔들림없이 수사할 거라고 생각한다"고 강조했다.
구속영장 기각이 향후 이 대표와 관련한 검찰 수사 동력을 약화시킬 게 아니냐는 질문에는 "범죄 수사는 진실을 밝혀서 책임질 만한 사람에게 책임지게 하는 것이지, 동력 같은 게 필요하지 않다"고 했다.
