브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT&G는 소셜벤처 생태계 활성화를 위한 전문가 포럼인 ‘제6회 상상서밋(Summit)’을 지난 7일 서울 성동구 ‘KT&G 상상플래닛’에서 성황리에 개최했다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 ‘상상서밋’에는 벤처 투자업계 등 각계 전문가와 청년 창업가들이 연사로 나섰으며, 사회혁신 창업가를 꿈꾸는 청년 등 150여 명이 참석했다.
이번 포럼은 앞으로 펼쳐질 사회혁신의 미래 모습과 시대정신에 관한 논의의 장으로 마련됐다. 이에 맞춰 ‘소셜벤처 생태계 10년 후 미래’, ‘AI 기술로 바라보는 사회혁신의 미래’ 등을 주제로 강연과 토론이 진행됐다. 또한, 이번 행사에는 청년창업 지원공간인 KT&G 상상플래닛 입주사들을 대상으로 ESG 활동 우수 기업을 심사해 선발하는 ‘플래닛어워즈’도 열렸다.
KT&G는 2018년부터 ‘상상서밋’을 매년 개최해 사회혁신 관점에서 우리 사회가 직면하고 있는 문제들에 대한 해결 방안을 모색해왔다. 첫해 사회혁신 생태계 지원방안에 대한 논의를 시작으로, 이후 지역 기반의 사회혁신, 다양한 혁신의 연결 등을 주제로 소통의 장을 이어왔다.
이 밖에도 KT&G는 2017년부터 사회혁신 창업가 발굴을 위한 ‘상상스타트업캠프’를 지속적으로 운영하는 등 청년 창업 지원 및 일자리 창출 노력을 인정받아 2019년 고용노동부 ‘사회적 기업 육성 유공’ 장관상, 2021년 기획재정부 ‘사회적경제 유공’ 대통령 표창, 2022년 고용노동부 ‘일자리창출 유공’ 대통령 표창을 수상했다.
KT&G 관계자는 “이번 상상서밋은 청년 창업가들이 모여 사회혁신의 미래상에 대해 고민하고 시대정신에 대해 의견을 나누는 의미있는 자리였다”며 “KT&G는 앞으로도 다양한 프로그램을 통해 소셜벤처 생태계 활성화와 청년 창업가 양성에 기여할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
