(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=더불어민주당 전남도당이 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 전남 지역 기초단체장 후보 윤곽을 속속 드러내고 있다. 지난 22일 발표된 경선 결과에 따르면 무안과 완도는 본선 후보가 확정된 반면, 여수는 과반 득표자가 없어 결선을 치르게 됐다.
무안군수 경선에서는 현직 프리미엄을 앞세운 김산 후보가 승기를 잡았다. 김 후보는 전남도의원 출신인 나광국 후보를 제치고 당내 후보로 선출되며 본격적인 3선 도전에 나서게 됐다.
완도군수 경선에서는 진도부군수를 역임한 우홍섭 후보가 지영배 후보와의 맞대결에서 승리하며 최종 후보로 낙점됐다.
전략선거구로 지정돼 관심을 모았던 여수시장 경선은 대혼전 양상을 보였다. 권리당원 20%와 안심번호 80% 방식으로 치러진 이번 경선에서 4명의 후보 중 과반 득표자가 나오지 않아 상위 1, 2위 후보 간 결선 투표가 확정됐다.
결선에는 여수시의회 의장을 지낸 김영규 후보와 대통령비서실 행정관 출신인 서영학 후보가 진출해 최종 승부를 가린다. 한편, 재선에 도전했던 현역 정기명 시장은 경선 탈락의 고배를 마셨다.
