【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=국민의힘 경북도당 공천관리위원회(위원장 구자근)는 22일 제12차 회의를 열고 제9회 전국동시지방선거 기초단체장 공천 결과를 확정했다.
이날 회의에서는 다수 지역의 경선 결과가 나왔으며, 영주시장 후보는 2인 본경선에 진출하게 됐다.
이남철 후보는 고령군수에 단수추천됐으며, 경주시장에는 주낙영 후보, 영양군수에는 오도창 후보, 봉화군수에는 최기영 후보, 영천시장에는 김병삼 후보, 청도군수에는 김하수 후보, 상주시장에는 안재민 후보가 경선 결과에 따라 각각 공천을 받았다.
문경시장에는 김학홍 후보가 경선을 통해 최종 후보로 선정됐다. 또, 의성군수에는 최유철 후보, 청송군수에는 윤경희 후보, 영덕군수에는 조주홍 후보, 울진군수에는 손병복 후보, 성주군수에는 정영길 후보가 공천을 확정지었다. 칠곡군수 후보는 김재욱 후보가 경선을 통과했다.
구자근 공천관리위원장은 “경선에 참여한 모든 후보와 캠프 관계자 여러분께 감사드린다”며 “누가 후보가 되든, 모두가 당이라는 큰 틀 안에서 함께 가야 한다”고 말했다. 이어 “득표율 등 구체적인 수치는 공직선거법상 공개가 제한된다”고 설명했다.
공천이 다소 지연되는 일부 지역에 대해서는 “선거구 획정 절차로 인해 일정이 늦어지고 있을 뿐, 다른 이유는 없다”며 “전체 공천 작업은 5월 초까지 마무리할 계획”이라고 덧붙였다.
한편, 영주시장에는 예비경선 결과 송명달 후보와 황병직 후보가 본경선에 진출하게 됐다.

Nomination Management Committee Chairman Koo Ja-geun stated, “I thank all the candidates and campaign staff who participated in the primary,” adding, “Regardless of who becomes the candidate, we must all move forward together within the larger framework of the party.” He further explained, “The disclosure of specific figures, such as vote percentages, is restricted under the Public Official Election Act.”
Regarding some regions where nominations are slightly delayed, he added, “The schedule is being delayed solely due to the electoral district demarcation process; there are no other reasons,” and stated, “We plan to complete the entire nomination process by early May.”
Meanwhile, for the Yeongju Mayoral race, candidates Song Myeong-dal and Hwang Byeong-jik advanced to the main primary as a result of the preliminary primary.
