브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점그룹이 설 명절을 앞두고 중소 협력사들의 결제 대금을 조기 지급한다. 고물가와 고금리 등 영향으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 협력사들의 자금 부담을 덜어주기 위해서다.
현대백화점그룹은 그룹 계열사와 거래하는 1만2000여 중소 협력사의 결제 대금 3022억원을 당초 지급일보다 최대 9일 앞당겨 설 연휴 전인 다음달 6일에 지급한다고 16일 밝혔다.
이번에 결제 대금을 조기에 지급받는 중소 협력사는 현대백화점과 거래하는 5000여 업체를 비롯해, 현대홈쇼핑·현대그린푸드·한섬·현대리바트·현대백화점면세점·현대L&C·현대이지웰 등 12개 계열사와 거래하는 7000여 업체 등 총 1만2000여 중소 협력사들이다.
현대백화점그룹 관계자는 “설 명절을 앞두고 각종 비용 지출 증가로 자금 조달에 어려움을 겪을 것으로 예상되는 중소 협력사의 자금 부담을 줄이는데 조금이나마 도움이 될 수 있기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 중소 협력사와 상생협력을 위한 다양한 지원 프로그램을 추진해 나갈 방침이다”고 말했다.
한편, 현대백화점은 2014년부터 거래중인 중소 협력사들의 자금 운영을 돕기 위한 무이자 대출 제도도 운영 중이다.
