(담양=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남경찰청 고속도로순찰대 제5지구대는 봄 행락철과 수학여행 시기를 맞아 대형 교통사고 예방을 위한 현장 밀착형 홍보 활동에 나섰다.
제5지구대는 지난 20일 호남선 백양사휴게소 등 관내 주요 휴게소에서 수학여행 및 체험학습을 위해 이동하는 전세·관광버스를 대상으로 교통안전 캠페인(사진)을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 활동은 단체 이동이 잦은 시기에 발생하기 쉬운 전세버스 사고를 미연에 방지하고자 추진됐다. 경찰은 관광버스 운전자들을 대상으로 ▲대열운행(줄지어 가기) 금지 ▲전 좌석 안전띠 착용 ▲차내 음주가무 근절 ▲전방 주시 및 과속·난폭운전 금지 등 핵심 안전 수칙을 집중적으로 안내했다.
특히 운행 전 ‘1분 안전점검’ 실천을 통해 운전자의 컨디션과 차량 이상 유무를 철저히 확인하도록 계도하며 안전 운행을 당부했다.
아울러 수학여행길에 오른 학생과 인솔 교사들에게도 승·하차 시 안전 수칙 및 이동 중 안전띠 착용의 중요성을 알렸다. 휴게소 곳곳에는 피켓과 플래카드를 게시하고 홍보물을 배부하는 등 가시적인 홍보 효과를 높이는 데 주력했다.
