[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 석면 비산으로부터 시민 건강을 보호하고 쾌적한 주거환경 조성을 위해 노후 건축물의 슬레이트 철거 지원사업을 추진한다고 22일 밝혔다.
시는 슬레이트 지원사업을 위해 8억6,900만원의 예산을 확보해 주택 200동, 비주택(축사, 창고) 20동의 슬레이트 지붕 철거와 함께 취약계층을 대상으로 9동의 지붕 개량 사업을 추진한다.
지원사업별 최대 지원금액은 주택의 경우 취약계층은 전액, 일반가구는 최대 700만원을 지원하고 축사, 창고는 슬레이트 철거면적 200㎡까지 지원한다.
또 취약계층은 슬레이트 철거 후 지붕 개량에 필요한 비용의 1,000만원까지 지원한다.
철거 및 지붕개량 지원은 관내 공사업체를 통해 진행되며 상한금액을 초과하면 건축주가 부담해야 한다.
슬레이트 철거를 희망하는 건축물 소유자는 2월 13일까지 슬레이트 건축물이 소재한 읍·면·동 행정복지센터로 신청하면 되며 이후에도 상시 접수가 가능하다.
시는 지난해까지 총 44억8,100만원의 예산을 투입해 1,581동의 슬레이트 처리를 지원했으며 지속적으로 슬레이트 조기 철거를 추진할 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “시민의 주거환경 개선과 건강 증진에 보탬이 될 수 있도록 슬레이트 철거·처리 지원사업을 추진하고 있으므로 주택 소유자들의 많은 관심과 적극적인 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
