브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 도널드 트럼프 전 미국 대통령이 23일(현지시간) 뉴햄프셔주에서 열린 2번째 공화당 프라이머리(예비경선)에서 니키 헤일리 전 사우스캐롤라이나 주지사를 꺾고 승리했다.
이날 CNN 보도에 따르면 트럼프 전 대통령은 앞서 아이오와 코커스(당원대회)에서 압도적 승리를 거둔 지 8일 만에 뉴햄프셔에서도 승전보를 울리며 최종 대선후보 자리에 한발짝 더 다가갔다.
이날 공화당 경선은 현재 35% 개표가 진행된 가운데, 트럼프 전 대통령이 53.4%, 니키 헤일리 전 유엔 대사가 45.6%의 득표를 하고 있다.
이에 CNN뿐 아니라 AP통신, ABC, CBS, NBC 등 주요 언론들은 일제히 트럼프 전 대통령의 승리를 단정짓고 있다.
앞선 아이오와에 비해 중립적 성향이 컸다는 뉴햄프셔주에서도 승리하며 트럼프 전 대통령의 대세론은 굳혀가는 분위기다.
특히 조 바이든 미국 대통령도 성명을 통해 "트럼프가 2024년 공화당 대선후보가 될 게 분명하다"며 대선 재대결을 기정사실화 했다.

만약 바이든 대통령과 트럼프 전 대통령이 나란히 최종 대선후보가 되면, 4년 전과 똑같은 인물들이 대권 경쟁을 벌이게 된다.
