[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 군민들이 일상생활 중 발생하는 각종 재난, 안전사고를 대비하기 위해 군민안전보험을 확대 운영한다고 29일 밝혔다.
군민안전보험은 2019년부터 추진하고 있는 사업으로 거창군에서 보험료를 전액 부담해 거창군민이면 별도의 절차와 조건 없이 누구나 자동 가입되어 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
보장항목은 농기계사고 상해사망, 후유장해 개물림 사고 응급실 내원 치료비 대중교통 이용 중 상해사망, 후유장해 뺑소니·무보험차상해 사망, 후유장해 익사사고 사망 스쿨존 교통사고 부상치료비 전세버스 이용 중 상해사망, 후유장해 실버존 사고 치료비 화상 수술비 등 총 22개 항목으로 최대 4,000만원 한도로 보장받을 수 있다.
구인모 거창군수는 “예상치 못한 재난과 사고로 입는 피해를 최소화하고자 군민안전보험을 지속해서 추진하고 있으며 군민이 이러한 사업을 알지 못해 지원을 못 받는 경우가 없도록 적극적으로 홍보하겠다”고 말했다.
작년 한 해 군민이 수령한 보험금은 27건, 2억 2천만원 정도이며 군은 매년 수혜 내용 검토를 통해 많은 군민이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 항목 및 금액을 조정하고 있다.
