브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 롯데건설은 지난 1일 부산 서구에 위치한 부산연탄은행에서 윤수준 영남지사장과 강정칠 부산연탄은행 대표가 참석한 가운데, 재가 어르신 대상 세탁서비스 지원과 ‘사랑의 연탄·라면 나눔’ 봉사활동을 진행했다고 2일 밝혔다.
부산연탄은행은 부산지역에 연탄 나눔, 세탁 지원, 무료급식, 청소년 멘토링, 도서관 운영 등의 복지사업을 진행하고 있는 사회복지법인이다.
롯데건설은 지난해 12월 말 서울 서초구 남태령 전원마을에서 ‘사랑의 연탄·라면 나눔’ 봉사활동을 진행한 데 이어, 새해 부산지역에서도 어려운 이웃들에게 따뜻한 희망을 선사하기 위해 부산연탄은행과 손잡았다.
롯데건설은 동절기 보호취약세대인 재가 어르신들을 대상으로 새롭게 기획한 ‘연탄은행 빨래방’ 봉사활동을 통해 세탁서비스를 지원했다. 이날 롯데건설 직원들로 구성된 샤롯데(Charlotte) 봉사단은 의복 및 이불 등 세탁물을 수거해 부산연탄은행 내 빨래방에서 세탁하고 건조한 후 직접 재가 어르신 세대에 배달했다.
또한, 부산 서구 등 5개구 에너지 취약계층에 연탄 4만장과 소외계층에 라면 645박스를 기부했으며, 재가 어르신 세대에 세제, 섬유유연제, 드라이시트 1000회분도 함께 전달했다.
롯데건설 관계자는 “이번에 전달한 세탁세제 및 연탄과 라면 등을 통해 주민들이 남은 겨울을 따뜻하게 보내는데 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 기업의 사회적 책임을 실천하기 위해 전국에서 ‘사랑의 연탄 나눔’을 비롯해 다양한 봉사활동을 적극적으로 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, ‘사랑의 연탄 나눔’은 2011년부터 시작해 올해로 14년째를 맞는 롯데건설의 대표적인 사회공헌활동 중 하나로, 독거노인, 저소득층 등 어려운 형편의 가정이 밀집한 지역을 찾아가 연탄 등 난방용품을 기부함으로써 이웃에게 실질적인 도움을 주고 있다. 현재까지 기부한 연탄의 수량은 이번 겨울 기부 건을 포함해 서울 지역 36만장, 부산 및 원주 지역 등 34만2000장 총 70만2000장에 달한다.
전달된 연탄과 라면, 세제 등은 ‘1대3 매칭 그랜트’ 제도로 모인 샤롯데 봉사기금을 통해 마련됐다. 롯데건설의 매칭 그랜트는 임직원이 급여 중 일부를 기부하면 기부금의 3배에 해당하는 금액을 회사도 함께 기부하는 제도로 2011년부터 시행해오고 있다.
