[브레이크뉴스 = 김태영 기자] 경기도 양주시 혁신양주시민연대가 지난 1월 28일 실질적 원년출범을 알리면서 2024년 신년 하례식을 성황리에 개최했다.
이날 행사에는 김명근 상임대표의 야심찬 출발선언에 따른 각오를 밝혔으며, 이어 강수현 양주시장을 대신해서 김유연 복지문화국장 축사, 김종안 공동대표의 양주시 시민연대의 발자취 설명, 김완영 공동대표의 경과보고, 김수미 소프라노 공연 등으로 회원들과의 친목을 모처럼 화기애애한 분위기 속에서 진행됐다.

김명근 상임대표는 "이제부터라도 양주시의 행정을 시민의 소통과 참여속에서 진행되어야 한다. 그 역할을 혁신양주시민연대가 나설것이다. 시민들의 참여를 부탁한다"라며 시민중심의 행정을 주문했다.
김종안 공동대표는 "지금 공사중인 7호선 연장사업도 시민들이 스스로 일구어낸 큰 성과였다. 현재도 문제가 되고 있는 물류단지 등 여러 현안에 대해 우리 시민연대와의 대화를 통해 슬기롭게 해결하기를 바란다"라며 시민소통에 방점을 두었다.
아울러, 양주혁신연은 오는 3월말경 정기총회를 통해 더욱 공고히 2024년 시민혁신 사업에 대해 진지하게 논의할 것으로 보인다.
