윤석열 대통령이 1일 "기미독립선언 정신을 다시 일으켜 자유를 확대하고 평화를 확장하며 번영 길로 나아가 그 길 끝에 있는 통일을 향해 모두의 마음을 모으자"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오전 서울 중구 유관순기념관에서 '자유를 향한 위대한 여정, 대한민국 만세' 주제로 열린 '제105주년 3·1절 기념식' 기념사에서 "3·1운동은 모두가 자유·풍요를 누리는 통일로 비로소 완결되는 것"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "105년 전 오늘 선열들은 손엔 태극기를 부여잡고 가슴엔 자유에 대한 신념을 끌어안고 거국적 비폭력 투쟁에 나섰다"며 무장독립운동·외교독립운동·교육 및 문화독립운동 등 모든 독립운동 가치가 합당한 평가를 받아야 한다"고 말했다.
