브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 대우건설은 지난 8일 한국서부발전이 발주한 ‘공주 천연가스발전소 주기기 및 부속설비 구매’ 계약을 체결했다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번에 대우건설과 한국서부발전이 체결한 계약은 2027년 4월까지 충남 공주시 이인면 일대에 건설하는 500MW급 천연가스발전소의 주기기를 공급하는 계약으로, 제8차 전략수급기본계획에 따라 노후화된 태안 석탄화력발전소 2호기를 LNG로 연료전환해 신규 천연가스 발전소로 대체하는 사업이다.
대우건설은 GE사와 함께 컨소시엄으로 발전소 설계와 주요설비를 공급하고, 시공과 시운전과 관련된 기술지원까지 맡게 된다.
대우건설은 “이번 계약은 국내 다수의 복합화력 주기기 구매 사업을 수주해 성공적으로 준공한 경험과 탁월한 기술력, 가격경쟁력을 인정받은 결과”라고 자평했다.
실제, 대우건설이 주기기를 공급한 군산복합화력발전소, 영남LNG복합화력 발전소, 신평택복합화력발전소, 남제주복합화력발전소는 현재 안정적으로 전력을 생산하고 있다. 대우건설은 신세종복합화력발전소, 부천현대화사업 주기기 구매계약도 수행중이다.
대우건설 관계자는 “안전하고 깨끗한 에너지 공급을 통해 주민들의 생활 편익 증대와 지역 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 성공적으로 사업을 완수하겠다”고 말했다.
