기독교복음선교회는 4월22일치 보도자료에서 “기독교복음선교회는 자연과 예술, 체험이 결합된 야외 축제 ‘2026 세계 최고 돌조경 솔나무 축제’를 월명동 자연성전에서 개최한다”고 소개했다. 이 보도자료에 따르면, 이 행사는 오는 4월 25일부터 5월 10일까지 총 16일간 충남 금산군 월명동 자연성전에서 진행된다. 예술 공연과 전시, 체험 프로그램 등 다채로운 콘텐츠를 통해 방문객들에게 자연 속 휴식과 색다른 즐거움을 동시에 제공할 예정이다.

기독교복음선교회측은 “이 축제는 매년 5월 열리던 ‘월명동 꽃 축제’의 콘셉트를 새롭게 전환한 것이 특징이다. 돌조경과 소나무가 어우러진 월명동(충남 금산군 진산면 월명동)만의 독보적인 자연경관을 살려 차별화된 축제로 기획됐다. 행사 기간 동안에는 상설 프로그램이 운영된다. ‘월명동 가이드’의 해설과 함께 소나무 및 주요 경관을 둘러보는 힐링 투어를 비롯해, 자연의 정취를 담은 사진전과 시(詩) 전시회 등 감성적인 예술 콘텐츠가 마련된다”고 설명하고 ”월명동의 역사와 가치를 알기 쉽게 전달하는 영상도 상영된다. 월명동 돌조경의 핵심으로 꼽히는 ‘야심작 돌조경’ 제작 과정을 담은 다큐멘터리 ‘5전 6기’와, 정명석 목사의 베트남전 참전 경험을 바탕으로 평화와 생명의 소중함을 조명한 영화 ‘사랑과 평화’가 관람객들의 이해를 돕는다:고 강조했다.
이어 “이 축제의 하이라이트는 매주 토요일마다 열리는 세대별 맞춤형 체험 프로그램이다. 개막일인 4월 25일에는 유·초등부 예술 무대를 시작으로 페이스페인팅, 전통놀이, 가족 오락관, 헤어·메이크업, 가족사진 촬영, 건강·힐링 체험 부스 등 온 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 프로그램이 진행된다. 5월 2일에는 청년 및 장년층을 대상으로 맨발 걷기, 요가 등 건강 체험과 공예 체험 부스, 야외 스포츠 프로그램이 운영되며, 방문객을 위한 기도 부스도 마련돼 자연스럽게 신앙을 접할 수 있도록 했다”고 설명하고 “5월 9일에는 대학생들을 위한 피크닉, 보물찾기, 게임 등 역동적이고 이색적인 프로그램이 자연성전 곳곳에서 펼쳐질 예정”이라고 덧붙였다.
기독교복음선교회 관계자는 “천혜의 자연환경 속에 조성된 월명동 자연성전에서 모든 세대가 어우러질 수 있는 복합 문화 행사를 준비했다”며 “이번 축제를 통해 월명동에 담긴 특별한 이야기와 자연의 아름다움을 보다 많은 사람들이 경험하길 바란다”고 밝혔다. 이번 축제는 선교회 소속 교인을 통한 사전 예약제로 운영되며 입장료는 무료다.

In a press release dated April 22, the Christian Gospel Mission announced, “The Christian Gospel Mission will host the ‘2026 World’s Best Stone Landscaping Pine Tree Festival,’ an outdoor festival combining nature, art, and hands-on experiences, at the Wolmyeongdong Nature Sanctuary.” According to the press release, the event will take place for a total of 16 days, from April 25 to May 10, at the Wolmyeongdong Nature Sanctuary in Geumsan-gun, Chungnam. Through diverse content including art performances, exhibitions, and experiential programs, the festival is expected to provide visitors with both relaxation in nature and unique enjoyment. The Christian Gospel Mission explained, “This festival is characterized by a fresh concept shift from the ‘Wolmyeong-dong Flower Festival,’ which was held every May. It was planned as a distinctive festival that highlights Wolmyeong-dong’s unique natural landscape, where stone landscaping and pine trees harmonize. Permanent programs will be operated during the event period. Emotional artistic content is provided, including a healing tour where visitors can look around pine trees and major scenic spots accompanied by commentary from a ‘Wolmyeong-dong Guide,’ as well as photo and poetry exhibitions capturing the essence of nature.” They further emphasized, “Videos that convey the history and value of Wolmyeong-dong in an easy-to-understand manner will also be screened. The documentary ‘5 Trials, 6 Successes,’ which captures the production process of the ‘ambitious stone landscaping’ considered the core of Wolmyeong-dong’s stone landscape, and the film ‘Love and Peace,’ which sheds light on the preciousness of peace and life based on Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok’s experience in the Vietnam War, help visitors understand the event.”
They added, “The highlight of this festival is the customized experience programs for each generation held every Saturday.” On the opening day, April 25, programs that the whole family can enjoy together will be held, starting with an art stage for kindergarten and elementary school students, followed by face painting, traditional games, a family entertainment hall, hair and makeup, family photo shoots, and health and healing experience booths. "On May 2nd, health experiences such as barefoot walking and yoga, craft booths, and outdoor sports programs will be operated for young adults and middle-aged people. A prayer booth for visitors has also been set up to allow them to naturally encounter the faith," the official explained. "On May 9th, dynamic and unique programs for university students, including picnics, treasure hunts, and games, are scheduled to take place throughout the Nature Sanctuary," they added.
An official from the Christian Gospel Mission stated, "We have prepared a multi-cultural event where all generations can come together at the Wolmyeong-dong Nature Sanctuary, which is built amidst a pristine natural environment," adding, "We hope that through this festival, more people will experience the special stories contained in Wolmyeong-dong and the beauty of nature." This festival operates on a pre-reservation system through members of the Mission, and admission is free.
