세종교육청 국제교육교류센터가 오는 21일까지 세종특별자치시 관내 초·중 학생 및 학부모, 교직원 총 250여 명을 대상으로 ‘영어 및 제2외국어 수업 프로그램’ 참가 신청을 받는다.
이번 프로그램은 초등학생 7개반, 중학생 4개반, 학부모 및 교직원 3 개반으로 구성됐으며 평일 오후와 매주 토요일에 국제교육교류센터에서 운영된다.
또, 국제교육교류센터는 읍면지역 중학생들을 대상으로 ‘랜선 영어 교실’을 운영해 온라인으로도 글로벌 역량 강화 프로그램을 수강할 기회를 제공한다.
참여를 희망하는 초·중 학생 및 학부모, 교직원은 아래 포스터의 정보무늬에 접속해 ‘외국어교육지원-프로그램신청-학생’ 탭에서 3월 21일 18시까지 신청하면 된다.
이번 프로그램은 교육공동체 모두에게 세계의 다양한 언어와 문화를 배울 기회를 제공하고 세계 시민의식 함양을 위해 마련됐다.
이석 중등교육과장은 “이번 프로그램은 단순히 새롭고 다양한 언어를 배우는 것을 넘어, 교육공동체 모두가 세계의 서로 다른 문화와 가치관을 존중하는 세계시민으로 성장할 수 있도록 준비했다.”며“세종시 초등학생, 중학생, 학부모 그리고 교직원 여러분의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다.”라고 말했다.
한편, 세종시교육청은 국제교육교류센터를 주축으로 하여 외국어교육 프로그램 외에도 청소년 국제교류 협력 학교 지원 및 제4회 세종 국제 청소년 포럼, 국제 문화교류캠프 등 다양한 프로그램과 행사를 추진할 예정이다.
