[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 경남 제1호 지방정원인 거창창포원이 봄을 맞이해 주민참여정원을 새단장 했다고 전했다.
주민참여정원은 2023년 2회에 걸쳐 총 14개 팀 68명이 참여해 8개의 개성 있는 꼬마정원을 조성한 공모사업으로 이번 정원 단장은 제1기 거창韓 시민정원사와 거창군 새마을회가 함께 참여했다.
지난해 수료한 시민정원사 29명 중 18명이 이번 봄단장에 참여해 춘절국, 루피너스 등 약 80여종의 다양한 종류의 계절 꽃과 다년생 식물을 조화롭게 배치해 봄정원을 새롭게 조성했다.
또한, 거창군 새마을회도 작년에 이어 올해도 봄맞이 꼬마정원 정비에 함께 참여해 주민참여정원을 아름답게 가꾸고 정원문화 확산에도 큰 기여를 했다.
거창창포원 주민참여정원은 봄맞이 꼬마정원 단장을 시작으로 여름, 가을시즌에 맞추어 시민정원사 등 주민들이 함께 계절별 꽃과 소품으로 사계절 다양한 정원경관을 조성할 예정이다.
구인모 거창군수는 “앞으로도 지역주민의 참여 기회를 확대해 지역정원문화가 더욱 확산될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”며 “따뜻한 봄날 아름다운 봄꽃으로 단장한 거창창포원에서 가족, 연인과 함께 봄꽃을 즐기며 행복한 봄나들이를 즐기시기를 바란다”고 전했다.
한편 거창창포원 수국원 입구에는 청년단체에서 ’봄꽃 피크닉‘을 주제로 봄소풍김밥, 과일 바구니, 푯말 등 아기자기한 소품들을 직접 만들어 봄꽃과 함께 배치해 이벤트 정원을 조성했다.
또한 4월 현재 거창창포원에서는 황강전망정원에 꽃잔디와 함께 튤립, 비올라, 데이지 등 다양한 봄꽃이 만개해 화려한 봄을 즐길 수 있고 5월에는 노랑꽃창포, 작약, 불두화, 샤스타데이지 등 다양한 봄꽃이 연차적으로 개화될 예정이다.
