국가철도공단은 23일 대전 본사에서 이성해 이사장을 비롯한 전 임직원이 참석한 가운데 현장중심 책임경영 선포식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
앞서 공단은 지난 16일 수도권광역급행철도(GTX), 철도지하화 등 국정과제의 성공적 이행과 국민과 약속한 철도사업 적기개통을 실현하기 위해 현장중심의 조직개편을 단행했다.
공단형 현장중심 책임경영의 주요골자는 ▲현장중심의 사업관리(PM, Project Management) 체계 조직 전환, ▲GTX지원단, 철도지하화 등 국정과제 전담 조직 신설, ▲안전본부에 중대재해 예방을 위한 ‘공사중지권’ 부여, ▲현장지원을 위한 부서 신설과 효율화 등이다.
이날 선포식에서 이성해 이사장은 현장중심의 사업관리(PM) 체제로 전환하는 배경과 이를 통해 공단이 나아가야 할 길을 주제로 강연했다.
이 이사장은 “절대공기 준수와 고객만족을 실현하는 사업관리 전문가를 ‘Strong PM(Project Management)’”이라 설명하며, “열차가 멈추지 않으려면 철도를 구성하는 모든 분야의 엔지니어가 강력한 사업관리(PM) 전문가가 되어야 한다.”고 강조했다.
