에어서울은 지난해 우리나라의 합계출산율이 0.72명으로 통계 작성후 최저치를 기록하는 등 우려의 목소리가 높아지는 상황에서 저출산 극복 노력을 함께하는 차원으로 유아동반 여행객들의 부담을 덜어주기로 했다고 설명했다.
앞으로도 유아 동반 여행객들의 즐거움을 더하는 ‘가족 친화적인 항공사’로 자리하기 위해 다양한 노력을 지속할 계획이다.
‘유아요금 0원’ 적용 항공권의 구매 기간은 5월 한 달간이며, 탑승기간은 5월 1일부터 10월 26일까지다.
에어서울 관계자는 “사회의 구성원으로서 고객들의 사랑에 보답하고 더 행복한 여행을 만들어 드리기 위한 결정”이라며 “일회성에 머물지 않고 항공사만이 할 수 있는 다양한 시도를 지속하겠다”고 말했다.
