월성원자력본부, 주변지역 벼 육묘 지원 사업 실시

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 지난 3일 경주시 문무대왕면 입천리 소재 벼 육묘장에서 ‘문무대왕면·감포읍 벼 육묘 지원 행사’를 실시했다고 7일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 월성본부 장정일 대외협력처장과 임재윤 문무대왕면장, 김재호 동경주농협조합장, 김상희 문무대왕면 발전협의회장, 한기배 농업기술센터상담소장 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

지난 2015년도부터 실시한 벼육묘 지원사업은 경제적으로 어려운 영세 농업인들에게 도움을 주고자 매년 시행되고 있으며, 작년까지 월성본부에서 총 4억3천만원가량을 지원하였다.

또한, 지역시설을 이용한 벼육묘 지원사업으로 지역 일자리 창출 및 경제 활성화에도 큰 기여를 해오고 있다. 올해에도 문무대왕면·감포읍 농업인 300여 가구에 벼육묘 약 54,000판(8천만원 상당)을 지원한다.

장정일 대외협력처장은 이날 행사에 참석한 지역단체장들과 벼육묘 현장을 둘러보며 “앞으로도 농업인의 고충을 헤아리고 농민들을 위한 지원에 대해 계속하여 고민해 보겠다. ”고 말했다. 이에 김재호 동경주농협조합장은 “월성본부의 아낌없는 지원에 농민들을 대신하여 감사드린다.”며 답했다.

한편 월성본부는 동경주 농업인들을 위하여 항공방제, 농업기반시설조성, 태풍피해복구, 벼수매통지원 등 사업을 지원하고 있다.
