해외도피(海外逃避)라는 말이 자주 나온다. 국내에서 해외로 도망갔다는 뜻이다. 필자의 이 칼럼 -묵상 주제는 '예수의 해외도피'이다.
기독교의 창시자인 예수는 그 당시 십자가형(사형)에 처해질 위기임을 직감하고 있었을 것이다. 예수 정도의 머리였으면, 해외 도피도 가능했을 것이다.
그 당시 사회 구조로 봐, 국경수비가 허술했을 터이니, 예수가 해외 도피를 감행했다면, 극형인 십자가형을 벗어날 수 있는 쉬운 방법이었음직 하다.
그런데 예수는 해외도피를 선택하지 않았다. 그리고 골고다 언덕으로 끌려올라가 십자가 극형에 임했다.
예수의 신자가형 수용(受用)은 예수를 예수이게 한, 중대한 사건이다. 도망가지 않고, 하나뿐인 생명을 내줬기 때문이다.
페친(페이스북 친구)인 유용선 도서학교 교장님은 최근 페이스 북에 “예수이스트(jesusist=예수주의자)가 크리스천에게”라는, 제목의 글을 올렸다. 이 글의 일부(아래)를 옮긴다.

“예수의 지지자들 중에는 크리스천만 있는 게 아니라 나 같은 예수이스트도 있다. 크리스천은 삼위일체와 개인 구원을 중시 여기지만, 예수이스트는 사회 개혁과 이웃 구원을 중시 여긴다. 크리스천은 "예수 믿고 구원받으라." 설교하고, 예수이스트는 "예수를 공부해서 세상을 구원하자." 설득한다. 크리스천은 그리스 철학과 결합한 교리에 매력을 느끼나 본데, 예수이스트는 예수의 삶과 명령 또는 권고에 이끌린다. 이를테면 이런 것들. "음식을 나눠 드세요. 재산을 처분해 가난한 사람들에게 나눠주세요. 가련한 환자들을 무상으로 고쳐주세요. 억울한 사람을 위해 변호해주세요. 우주의 주재자를 어버이라 여기고 의지하세요. 적극적인 감사로써 마음의 건강을 지키세요. 마음의 평안을 빼앗기지 마세요. 제발 그만 좀 망가뜨리세요. 무기로 일어나려 하면 무기로 망할 것입니다. 돈과 하느님을 함께 섬길 수는 없어요." 예수는 왜 사형을 피해 달아나지 않았을까? 달아나 숨었더라면 굳이 쫓아가 체포하지 않았을 텐데. 크리스천들은 사형수 예수를 죄의 용서를 위한 희생 제물로 삼고 싶어 하지만, 예수이스트의 생각은 다르다. 만약 예수가 사형을 피해 달아났으면, 저 모든 가르침과 권고는 모두 헛것이 되고 말았을 것이다. 무력한 이상주의자의 공허한 헛소리가 되고 말았을 것이다. 그러므로 십자가는 아무도 아무것도 차용하지 않은 그의 용맹한 선택이다. 바로 이 점이 예수이스트(예수주의자)의 마음을 가장 크게 끌어당기는 부분이다.”
예수의 '용맹한 선택'이 무언지를 지적한 글이다.
예수만의 대단한, 역사적인 옹고집... 과감한 선택이 무언지를 사유()할 수 있다. 종교인의 길에는 갈림길이 있다.

예수주의자(jesusist)와 크리스천(Christian)으로. 시각의 차이이다.
예수의 입장에서 예수를 보는 것과 신앙인의 입장에서 예수를 보는, 다른 시각이 존재한다. 예수주의자는 예수가 왜 죽음을 선택했을까를 고민한다. 그러나 예수를 신앙하는 이들은 예수의 죽음을 통한, 간접적인 이익, 구원을 간구한다.
이 세상에 크리스천 보다 예수주의자가 많아진다면, 신앙이 미신()으로 흐리지 않게 하는데 도움이 될 것이다. moonilsuk@naver.com

Why didn't Jesus, who was executed (crucified), choose to flee abroad?
[Essay approach] If the number of Jesuits increases, it will help prevent faith from being clouded by superstition!

The term ‘escaping abroad’ comes up often. This means that they fled from within the country to abroad. The topic of my meditation today is Jesus’ flight abroad.
Jesus, the founder of Christianity, must have sensed at that time that he was in danger of being crucified (death penalty). If he had a head like Jesus, he would have been able to escape abroad.
Considering the social structure of the time, border security would have been lax, so if Jesus had fled abroad, it would have been an easy way to escape the capital punishment of crucifixion.
However, Jesus did not choose to flee abroad. Then he was taken up to Golgotha Hill and crucified.
Jesus' acceptance of the believer's sentence was a significant event that made him Jesus. Because he did not run away, but gave his only life.
Yongseon Yoo, the principal of Island School, a Facebook friend, recently posted a post on Facebook titled “Jesusist to Christian.” A portion of this article (below) is reproduced.
“Among Jesus’ supporters, there are not only Christians but also Jesusists like me. Christians value the Trinity and individual salvation, but Jesuits value social reform and the salvation of neighbors. Christians say, “Believe in Jesus and be saved.” Preaching, Jesusists say, “Let’s study Jesus and save the world.” persuade Christians seem to be attracted to doctrines combined with Greek philosophy, while Jesuits are drawn to the life, commands, and recommendations of Jesus. For example, things like this. "Share your food. Dispose of your possessions and give them to the poor. Heal poor patients for free. Advocate for those who have been wronged. Rely on the ruler of the universe as your father. Protect your mental health with active gratitude. “Please don’t let your peace of mind be taken away. If you try to destroy it with weapons, you can’t serve both money and God.” Why didn't Jesus run away from execution? If he had run and hid, they wouldn't have bothered to chase him and arrest him. Christians want to use the death row inmate Jesus as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, but Jesusists think differently. If Jesus had escaped the death penalty, all his teachings and advice would have been in vain. It would have ended up being the empty nonsense of a helpless idealist. Therefore, the cross is his courageous choice that no one borrows anything from. This is the part that attracts the hearts of Jesuits (Jesusists) the most.”
This article points out what Jesus’ ‘courageous choice’ was.
Jesus' unique, historic stubbornness... allows us to think about what bold choices are. There is a fork in the path of a religious person. As Jesusist and Christian. It's a difference in perspective. There are different perspectives: seeing Jesus from his perspective and seeing Jesus from the perspective of a believer. Jesuits ponder why Jesus chose death. However, those who believe in Jesus seek indirect benefit and salvation through the death of Jesus.
If there were more Jesuits than Christians in this world, it would help prevent faith from being clouded by superstition. moonilsuk@naver.com
