"조국을 수호함으로써 그들의 이름을 영화롭게 하고 불멸화시킨 아버지, 할아버지, 증조부 등을 기리기 위해, 헤아릴 수 없는 용기로 막대한 희생을 치르면서 나치즘으로부터 인류를 구했다. 현재 문명은 다시 한 번 결정적인 전환점에 서 있는 상태다. 우리 조국에 대한 실제 전쟁이 다시 한 번 발발했지만 우리는 국제 테러를 격퇴했으며 돈바스 주민들도 보호하고 우리의 안전을 보장할 것이다."라는 초반 내용을 연설했다.
러시아어는 발언한 내용과 번역이 맞지 않으면 오해할 수 있는 소지들이 분명한 단어들이 있다. 게다가 해당 발언의 전체적인 맥락을 봐야 이해할 수 있는 부분들이 있는데 일부분만 잘라 정말 그런 양 왜곡해서 발표하는 부분이 있는 것이다.
특히 그런 행태는 한국 뉴스에서 곧잘 확인되는데 이것은 러시아어를 이해 못해서 방송에 내보낸 것과는 전혀 상관이 없다. 즉, 자극적인 단어 한 두개를 통해 정말 그런 양 헤드라인을 내보내면 조회수가 높아지고 영상 시청률 또한 높아지기에 얼마든지 낚시성 보도들을 할 수 있다. 이같은 보도를 하는 자들을 우리는 "기레기"라고 부르고 천박한 저널리즘이라는 뜻의 "처널리즘"이라고 부르기도 한다.
그런데 이 뉴스에서는 "러시아에서 특수군사작전(Специальная военная операция)이라는 용어를 쓰고 전쟁(Война)이라는 말을 사용하지 않음과 동시에 금기시 되었다." 면서 푸틴이 전쟁(Война)이라는 말을 언급했다해서 이것을 전쟁으로 인정하는 것이다. 그러나 특수군사작전이지만 그것도 엄연히 전시활동이나 다름없다. 전 세계가 전쟁으로 인식하고 있고 러시아의 주요 언론들 또한 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁으로 심심치 않게 언급하고 있다. Русско-украинская война 라고 구글에 검색해도 이를 언급한 언론들이 수없이 잡힌다.
그런데도 푸틴의 연설 내용 전문을 보면 "전쟁"을 선언했다는 내용은 어디에도 없다. 단 위에 내용에서 "우리 조국에 대한 실제 전쟁이 다시 한 번 발발했지만 우리는 국제 테러를 격퇴했으며 돈바스 주민들도 보호하고 우리의 안전을 보장할 것이다." 여기에서 전쟁을 언급했다고 전쟁 선언을 했다고 주장하는 것이다.
그러나 푸틴은 전쟁을 선포한적은 어느 글 맥락에서도 찾아 볼 수 없다. 아래 내용은 푸틴 대통령의 전승절 군사 퍼레이드 당시 러시아어 연설 원문으로 중립적인 입장에서 여러분들의 판단에 맡기는 바이다. 러시아어를 모르는 분들은 구글번역기로 돌려서 보시면 된다. 여기에서 어디에 전쟁을 선포했다는 얘기가 있는지 확인하실 수 있다.
끝으로 한국의 언론은 정직성도 잃어버렸고 기자 정신도 잃어버렸다. 그저 조회수 늘리고 영상 시청률을 늘리는데만 관심있고 거기에만 몰두하는 천박한 프레스와 리포터들일 뿐이다.
