충남 서산시는 신호위반 및 과속으로 인한 교통사고를 예방하기 위해 후면 단속카메라를 포함한 무인교통단속장비 총 4대를 추가 설치한다고 23일 밝혔다.
서산시는 올해 3월 충청남도경찰청, 서산경찰서, 도로교통공단과 합동 현장실사를 통해 교통사고 위험이 잦은 무인교통단속장비 추가 설치대상지 세 곳을 선정했다.
대상지는 예천동 이편한세상-효성해링턴플레이스 아파트 사이 삼거리, 지곡면 환성리 법룡사 사거리, 성연면 명천3리 성연교차로 등이다.
서산시는 후면 무인교통단속장비 2대, 전면 무인교통단속장비 2대를 설치하고 향후 도로교통공단의 인수검사와 약 3개월의 계도 기간을 거친 후 정상 운영할 예정이다.
