충남 천안시는 올해 오는 23일부터 25일까지 3일간 ‘청소년이 만드는 세상, 더큰 대한민국’을 주제로 한 ‘제20회 대한민국 청소년 박람회’를 국립중앙청소년수련원에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.
여성가족부와 천안시가 공동주최 하는 이번 박람회는 천안시 목천에 소재한 국립중앙청소년수련원에서 진행되며, 2005년부터 청소년을 대상으로한 대한민국 박람회다.
이번 대한민국청소년박람회는 기초자치단체와 단독으로 주최하며, 수련시설에서 처음 개최되어 천안시와 천안지역 청소년시설 인프라의 우수성을 알리는 계기가 되었다.
20주년을 맞이하는 대한민국 청소년 박람회로 디지털 기술을 활용한 드론 축구대회, 가상현실 피구경기 등 경연대회도 마련했으며,창의예술, 진로체험, 마음건강, 디지털역량 등 300여 개의 주제별 현장 체험활동 공간과 모험활동, 우주과학, 스포츠 등 청소년 수련시설만의 특별 체험활동 공간이 운영될 예정이다.
김미영 교육청소년과장은 “천안시 최초의 청소년 축제로서 청소년과 교육계에 새로운 바람을 불어넣는 역사의 장이 될 것이다”며 “천안이 품고 있는 자랑스러운 역사와 문화적 유산을 전국에 알리고 청소년들이 미래에 대한 확신을 갖게 될 것이다”라고 전했다.
이번 행사가 개최된 천안시는 매년 ‘K-컬처 박람회’ 및 ‘흥타령국제춤축제’ 등을 개최하고 있으며, 전국을 넘어서 전세계에 이름을 알리고, 전연령층을 아우르는 대한민국 대표 축제로 자리매김을 하고 있다.
