이번 행정사무감사의 감사대상기관은 본청, 직속기관, 사업본부, 사업소, 12개 읍면동 및 (재)경주문화재단, (재)신라문화유산연구원, (재)경주화백컨벤션뷰로, (재)경주스마트미디어센터, (재)경주시장학회이다.
경주시의회는 제출받은 집행부 자료와 시민 의견 및 제보내용 등을 바탕으로 경주시 소관 사업 전반에 대한 문제점을 점검하고 대안을 제시하여, 궁극적으로 시민의 복리증진 및 지역개발 실현을 위한 행정사무감사가 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다는 방침이다.
임활 행정복지위원장은 “경주시가 펼치고 있는 행정 전반에 대해 집행부가 아닌 경주 시민의 입장에서 체감할 수 있는 불편사항 및 위법성 등을 빠짐없이 점검하여 발견사항에 대해 강력히 시정조치하는 등, 탁상행정을 타파하는 경주시의 이미지를 제고하는 행정사무감사가 되도록 노력하겠다.”고 다짐했으며,
이진락 문화도시위원장은 “시민들은 본인의 경험을 통해 문제점을 제기할 수는 있어도, 행정 전반의 큰 틀에서 문제점과 그 개선책을 말하기는 어렵다.”며, “경주시의회는 전문성을 살려 위법하거나 부당한 사항에 대한 철저한 점검을 통해 시민의 대의기관으로서의 역할을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
또한 이락우 경제산업위원장은 “틀에 박힌 형식에서 벗어나 필요한 경우 현장을 방문하는 등의 유연하고 적극적인 감사활동을 진행할 예정이며, 잘못된 사항에 대한 냉철한 지적과 동시에 우수사례에 대한 칭찬과 장려를 겸하여 행정사무감사의 내실을 다지도록 하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
