세종시의회가 26일 2분기 ‘문화가 있는 날’ 행사로 세종시청자미디어센터에서 다큐멘터리 영화 '어른 김장하'를 단체 관람했다.
어른 '김장하'는 지역 지상파 작품으로는 최초로 2023년 백상예술대상 TV 부문 교양 작품상을 받은 영화다.
경남 진주에서 한약방을 운영하며 번 돈으로 학교를 설립하고 사회 다양한 분야에 후원하는 등 지역사회에 크게 이바지한 어른, ‘김장하’에 대한 이야기를 다큐멘터리 형식으로 엮었다.
영화관람 후에는 감독과의 만남을 통해 영화를 제작한 김현지 감독이 영화의 의미, 등장인물에 대한 시선, 사회적 함의 등에 대한 이야기를 들려줬다.
관람 후 세종시의회 의원과 직원들은 김현지 감독에게 질의하고 답변을 경청하는 등 함께 대화를 나누는 시간도 가졌다.
행사 후 이순열 의장은 “지역사회에서 ‘큰어른’이 사라져가는 시대다. 좋은 어른의 영향력으로 사회가 어떻게 변화할 수 있는지 되새겨볼 수 있는 시간이었다. 아울러 저를 포함해 오늘 동참하신 여러분 모두 영화를 통해 부의 환원이 가지는 가치에 대해 생각해 보는 계기가 됐으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.
