1일 동국대 WISE캠퍼스에 따르면 김진문 회장은 지난 6월 29일 교내 백주년기념관 5층 세미나실에서 열린 전달식에서 ‘미래인프라기금’으로 2천만 원을 전달했다.
동국대를 졸업한 김진문 회장(경영 64학번)은 이번에 기부한 2천만 원을 포함해 누적 기부금이 21억 5천여만 원에 이르는 것으로 알려졌다.
수미산 원정대(2기) 회장이기도 한 김진문 회장은 “수미산원정대의 WISE캠퍼스 방문의 환대에 감사드리고 동국대 WISE캠퍼스가 지역사회를 위해 많은 역할을 하기를 바라고 우리 모두가 한마음으로 깊이 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
류완하 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 총장은 “수미산원정대 2기의 와이즈캠퍼스 방문을 환영하고 동국을 사랑하시고 모교를 위한 한결같은 마음으로 기부를 해 주시는 회장님께 깊은 감사의 마음을 전하며, 불교 가치를 구현하고 미래 불교인재 양성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 감사의 마음을 전했다.
이날 전달된 기부금은 대학의 환경개선을 통한 미래 인프라 조성에 사용될 예정이다.

Chairman Kim Jin-moon (Class of '64, Business Administration), who graduated from Dongguk University, is known to have made a cumulative donation of approximately 2.15 billion won, including the 20 million won donated this time.
Chairman Kim Jin-moon, who is also the chairman of the Sumisan Expedition (2nd term), said, “We are grateful for the hospitality of the Sumisan Expedition’s visit to the WISE Campus. We hope that the Dongguk University WISE Campus will play a significant role for the local community, and we will all work together to provide deep support.”
Ryu Wan-ha, President of Dongguk University WISE Campus, said, “We welcome the second group of the Sumisan Expedition to visit Wise Campus and express our deep gratitude to the Chairman who loves Dongguk and donates with a consistent heart for his alma mater. We hope to embody Buddhist values and cultivate future Buddhist talents. “I will do my best,” he said, expressing his gratitude.
