【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 기상 악화로 연기됐던 ‘피크닉 페스타’를 주말인 6일과 7일 양일간 경주문화관1918에서 개최한다고 3일 밝혔다.

당초 지난 달 29일 개최할 예정이었던 피크닉 페스타는 우천으로 인해 불가피하게 일정이 연기된 바 있다.
‘경주문화관1918’은 폐역이 된 옛 경주역을 복합문화공간으로 새롭게 꾸민 곳으로 축제 기간 이곳을 찾는 관람객들의 오감을 공연, 공간연출, 먹거리 등 세가지 분야로 만족시킬 작정이다.
먼저 공연 분야는 콘서트 스테이지와 프린지 스테이지로 나눠 열린다. 이 가운데 콘서트 스테이지의 라인업은 6일(토) PL밴드, 김수영, 하동균 밴드, 7일(일) 김사월, 유다빈 밴드, 로맨틱펀치로 구성된다.
또 프린지 스테이지는 어린이 동반 가족을 대상으로 한 공연으로, 국내 인기 절정을 누리고 있는 거리예술팀 8팀을 초청해 하루 4회씩 이틀간 8회의 공연이 열린다.
이어 공간연출 분야는 1918 쉼터, 1918 놀이터로 나눠 이틀간 낮 1시부터 운영되며 이 가운데 1918 쉼터는 더운 날씨를 감안해 쿨링 안개존 및 감성 그늘막을 등을 공연 관람 공간으로 이용할 수 있다.
특히 공연장 240m 구간에 안개 분사 노즐을 설치해 관람객의 무더위를 날려줄 것으로 기대가 모아진다.
또 1918 놀이터는 어린이들을 위한 공간으로 구성해 가족동반 관람객들이 행사장에 머물면서 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 할 예정이다.
이어 먹거리 분야는 총 5대의 푸드트럭(아이스크림, 닭강정, 닭꼬치, 연어초밥, 타코야끼)이 운영된다.
경주시는 이번 축제를 통해 가족 단위 관광객과 MZ세대들의 도심 유입으로 도심경제 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “경주문화관1918 피크닉 페스타를 통해 시민들을 위한 문화소통의 장이자 마음의 여유를 가질 수 있는 쉼터 같은 공간이 되기를 기대한다”고 강조했다.
