한중도시우호협회는 8월17일 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 17일 서울 영등포구 국회대로 소재 한중교류센터에서 쑨지궈(孫治國) 중국공공외교연구원 부원장 겸 사무총장을 면담했다”고 알렸다.

쑨지궈(孫治國) 중국공공외교연구원 부원장 겸 사무총장은 "중한 공공교류에서 큰 역할을 하는 권 회장과의 협력을 통해 중한 우호의 길을 함께 가겠다"며 권 회장의 베이징 방문을 요청했다.
권기식 회장은 이날 쑨 총장과 오찬을 함께 하며 구체적인 교류방안을 논의했다.
