포럼은 ‘용인특례시 미래 도시 발전 전략 및 공간 다지인 비전 공유’를 주제로 반도체 등 첨단 신산업 입지를 통해 시의 발전 동력을 마련하고 관련 정책을 발굴하기 위해 전문가들의 의견을 듣는 취지로 마련됐다.
포럼엔 류광열 용인특례시 제1부시장, 신현녀 용인특례시의회 경제환경위원장을 비롯한 경제환경위원회 소속 시의원, 지역 기업, 대학생, 시민 등 100여 명이 참여했다.
이날 변창우 차세대융합기술연구원 반도체분석개발팀장이 ‘반도체 산업에서 용인시 특화단지가 가지는 의미와 미래 공공 과제’를 주제로 특화단지 지정 배경을 설명하고 반도체 산업 지역의 연대와 협력을 통한 시너지 효과와 민간 수요를 기반으로 한 인력 공급망 확보 등 글로벌 협력 네트워크 구축 등을 강조하는 첫 번째 발표를 진행했다.
이어 김영롱 가천대 스마트시티학과 교수가 ‘용인특례시 신산업 입지 전략’을 주제로 도시 공간의 관점에서 용인의 신산업 입지 전략에 대한 두 번째 주제 발표를 했다.
김현명 명지대 교통공학과 교수는 ‘용인특례시 반도체 르네상스를 위한 첨단 모빌리티 활용 전략’을 주제로 광역철도, 고속도로 건설과 함께 첨단 모빌리티 도입을 통한 처인구 교통 SOC 공급 필요성을 강조했다.
마지막으로 송형운 고등기술연구원 수소에너지솔루션센터장은 ‘청정 수소모빌리티 활성화 통한 탄소중립도시 실현 전략’을 주제로 지역 거점형 소규모 청정수소 생산 및 공급기지 구축 등 시가지향할 탄소중립 실현 방안에 대해 주제 발표를 했다.
이후 전병혜 용인시정연구원 공간환경연구부장이 좌장을 맡아 김진태 한국화학융합시험연구원 전기전자연구소장,이동훈 용인시산업진흥원 전문위원, 최경진 용인도시공사 개발사업본부장이 패널로 참여해 용인시 미래 도시 발전 전략과 공간디자인 비전에 대해 토론하는 시간을 가졌다.
시 관계자는 “이번 포럼이 용인특례시의 미래 발전 동력을 함께 고민하고 새로운 미래를 열어갈 도시 기반을 만들어가는 과정에서 다양한 분야의 전문가들과 함께 소통해 새로운 정책과 행정의 발판이 되는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
