[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 주민 의견을 반영해 주민이 체감할 수 있는 주민 참여형 공원 정비 사업을 본격 추진한다고 20일 밝혔다.
사업 대상은 근린공원(유하·공주·소바우·수리·금병공원) 5곳과 어린이공원(선학·삼중·소방·도담·내원골공원) 5곳으로 예산 확보와 설계 단계부터 마지막 유지관리까지 전 과정이 주민 참여 속에 진행된다.
앞서 시는 다양한 의견을 수렴해 노후 놀이시설 교체, 야간 조명 확대, 휴식공간 확충, 어린이 놀이환경 개선 등 생활 밀착형 요구가 다수 제기된 것으로 나타났다.
이에 시는 이달 말부터 본격적으로 정비공사에 착수해 5월 완료 예정이다.
이번 사업이 완료되면 시민들의 공원 이용 만족도가 높아지는 것은 물론 지역 커뮤니티 활성화에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.
예산 확보와 공원 정비에 참여하고자 하는 시민은 경남도 또는 김해시 주민참여예산제도 제안사업 공모에 참여하면 된다. 김해시민 누구나 참여할 수 있다.
시 관계자는 “주민 참여형 공원 정비는 시민이 직접 도시 환경을 만들어가는 과정이라는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “앞으로도 시민 중심의 공원 정책을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
