광주시, 명칭 변경으로 정체성 찾기

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시가 지역 내 공원과 시청사 내 회의실의 명칭을 상징적인 명칭으로 변경했다.

대회의실은 세계문화유산인 남한산성의 수어장대와 같이 높은 위치함을 의미하는 ‘수어장대홀’로 변경했다.

중회의실은 조선 후기 실학자인 안정복의 호인 ‘순암홀’로 변경, 상황실은 ‘비전홀’로 바꿨다.

이와 함께 공원의 명칭도 변경했다. 지난 5월 경안근린공원을 ‘호국보훈공원’으로 이름을 변경했다.

아울러 지난 7월 시청사 앞 다목적광장도 제20회 WASBE 세계관악컨퍼런스 개막을 기념하고자 개막식 행사와 함께 ‘WASBE 광장’으로 이름을 붙이는 명명식도 함께 개최했다.
