[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시가 ‘업사이클 환상데이’를 연다.
시는 오는 7일과 8일 업사이클아트센터에서 업사이클과 자원순환을 주제로 지구 환경을 지키기 위한 시민 실천의 장을 마련한다.
환상데이는 환경(環)을 생각(想)하는 날(day)이라는 의미로, 업사이클아트센터 이전 개관을 기념하며 업사이클 가치를 널리 알리고 자원순환에 대한 시민 공감대를 형성하기 위해 마련됐다.
친환경 제품 마켓, 요리 경연, 체험, 전시, 패션쇼 등 업사이클·자원순환을 주제로 다채로운 행사가 이틀간 광명업사이클아트센터 건물 안팎에서 펼쳐질 예정이다.
먼저 이틀 동안 센터 야외 광장에서는 올해 5년 차를 맞은 ‘환상마켓’이 열린다.
환상마켓에서는 ▲버려지는 재고 원단, 자투리 가죽 등을 활용한 업사이클 디자인 제품 ▲일회용 쓰레기 줄이는 제로웨이스트 상품 ▲반려 식물, 공기정화 식물 ▲친환경 공예 체험 키트 등 다양한 에코디자인 상품을 홍보하고 현장 특별가로 할인 판매한다.
환상마켓 입점 업체 ‘환심상인’은 마켓 운영 수익 일부를 광명시 사회복지협의회를 통해 취약 계층에게 기부해 지역에 환원할 예정이다.
한쪽에선 업사이클 소품 만들기 등 어린이부터 성인까지 누구나 참여할 수 있는 다양한 체험 부스를 운영한다. 체험은 현장 접수로 진행한다.
7일 공유주방에서는 ‘환상푸드 요리 경연’이 열린다. 재료와 요리법, 먹는 과정 등에서 탄소 배출을 줄이는 친환경 음식 조리법을 뽐내는 대회로 자원순환 경제도시에 발맞춰 지속 가능한 식문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
환상푸드는 식품 부산물이나 못난이 농산물을 재료로 활용한 ‘푸드 업사이클링’을 비롯해 ‘비건’ 채식 요리, 제철의 로컬 채소를 껍질과 씨앗, 뿌리까지 버리지 않고 요리하는 ‘마크로비오틱’, 전기와 화학물질을 쓰지 않는 ‘비전화’ 요리 등이 해당한다.
만 19세 이상 시민 누구나 개인 또는 팀으로 참여할 수 있으며 9월 1일까지 온라인으로 신청을 받아 서류 심사를 통과한 12팀은 9월 7일 요리 경연 현장에서 순위를 결정한다.
본선 심사에서는 3명의 전문가 심사위원과 10명의 시민 평가단의 시식 평가를 통해 대상(1팀) 150만 원, 금상(2팀) 100만 원, 은상(4팀) 50만 원, 동상(5팀) 30만 원을 각각 시상한다.
8일 공연장에서는 청소년 직업 체험 ‘업사이클 패션디자인 교실’의 종강을 기념하며 수강생들이 준비한 ‘환상 패션쇼’가 개최된다.
