4일 시에 따르면 과학기술정보통신부의 ‘2025년 스마트경로당 보급 및 확산 사업스마트공모에서 경로당은 어르신 공동체의 주 거점이자 활동 무대인 경로당에 첨단 기술을 접목해 어르신들의 건강관리까지 돕는 신개념 경로당이자, 지역사회 디지털 전환을 목표로 과학기술정보통신부가 스마트빌리지 보급·확산의 일환으로 추진에 있다.이에 시는 ‘건강한 여가로 함께하는 용인 스마트 경로당’을 주제로 지역 내 경로당에 다양한 스마트 기술을 도입하는 계획을 제안해 공모에 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
공모 선정으로 받는 국비 9억원(70%)과 시비 4억원(30%) 등 총 13억원의 사업비를 투입해 오는 2025년 12월까지 지역 내 60개 경로당에 화상회의 시스템, 스마트 헬스기기, 교육용 키오스크, IoT화재안전장비 등을 설치할 예정이다.
이번 사업은 4차산업융합과, 노인복지과, 3개구 대한노인회가 함께 협력해 추진할 예정이다.
시는 시스템 구축뿐 아니라 어르신들의 기기 사용법 교육은 물론 지속적인 시스템 모니터링까지 지원할 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “스마트 경로당을 통해 스마트기기와 친숙해지고, 어르신들의 건강과 안전에 도움을 드릴 수 있을 것”이라며 “경로당의 기능을 다양화하여 더 많은 어르신이 찾고 즐기는 커뮤니티 공간이 될 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
