화성시, 주한미국상공회의소와 MOU 체결

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시가 주한미국상공회의소와 투자 유치 촉진 및 기업환경 조성을 위한 협약을 체결했다.

국내외 800여개 기업을 회원사로 보유한 주한미국상공회의소와 6일 동탄출장소 대회의실에서 열린 협약식에는 정명근 화성시장을 비롯해 제임스 김 암참 회장 겸 대표이사, 권칠승 국회의원, 안상교 화성상공회의소 회장, 김광재 화성산업진흥원장이 참석했으며, 화성시 소재 암참 회원사인 ‘현대차?기아 기술연구소’의 성낙섭 전무,‘3M’의 김영동 공장장이 참석했다.

금번 협약을 계기로 양 기관은 ▲화성시의 암참 회원사 경제협력 및 투자유치 활동 지원 ▲암참 주관 각종 행사 후원 ▲한국 시장 진출을 희망하는 암참 회원사와 화성시 내 한국 기업들과의 협력 방안도 함께 모색할 계획이다.

제임스 김 암참 회장 겸 대표이사는 “삼성전자, 현대차, 기아 등 세계적인 글로벌 기업이 위치한 화성시는 반도체, 미래차, 바이오 등 첨단산업의 메카로 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다”며 “화성이 더 많은 기업유치를 할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

이어 정명근 화성시장은 “글로벌 기업이 함께하는 주한미국상공회의소가 화성시의 기업 유치에 큰 힘이 될 것”이라며 “이번 협약을 통해 화성시와 암참 모두가 상생발전하기를 바란다”고 화답했다.

또한 “양 기관의 지속적인 협력을 통해 화성시가 미국 기업들에게 기회의 장이 되기를 바라며, 화성시에서도 아낌없는 지원을 하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
