[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도교육청이 1기 신도시 대규모 재건축지역 학교시설의 적정 확충에 선제 대응한다.
도교육청은 경기도 내 노후계획도시 정비가 예정된 지역의 13개 교육지원청을 직접 찾아가 컨설팅을 시행한다. 현재까지 1기 신도시인 분당, 일산, 중동, 평촌, 산본을 포함한 8개 교육지원청의 방문 컨설팅을 모두 마쳤다.
구체적으로 ▲정비계획에 따른 추진 상황 점검 ▲늘어나는 용적률로 인한 학교시설 확충 여부 ▲재건축 공사로 인한 교육환경 악화 최소화 방안 등을 1기 신도시 교육지원청 담당자들과 협의했다.
도교육청은 특히 사업시행자가 부담하는 공공기여에 학교 노후화로 인한 개축·대수선 사업도 포함되도록 지자체에 적극적으로 요청할 방침이다.
아울러 1기 신도시에 맞춰 개교된 학교의 시설개선을 위해 ▲신설·증축 경비로 한정된 학교용지부담금 사용처를 개축·대수선까지 확대 ▲학교시설 기부채납에 따른 사업시행자의 용적률·건폐율 완화 근거 마련 ▲물가상승으로 인한 현물 기부채납의 분쟁 예방을 위한 현금 기부채납 도입 등을 정부에 건의했다.
도교육청 이근규 학교설립기획과장은 “최근 ‘학교용지 확보 등에 관한 특례법’ 개정안에 도교육청의 건의 사항이 반영됐다”며 “노후계획도시 정비사업에 맞춰 학교시설을 적기에 확충하고 개선할 수 있도록 다양한 노력을 기울이겠다”고 말했다.
