브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ그룹은 추석 명절을 앞두고 중소 협력업체에 약 5800억원의 결제대금을 조기 지급한다고 10일 밝혔다.
이번 조기 지급에는 CJ제일제당을 비롯해 CJ대한통운, CJ올리브영 등 5개 계열사가 참여한다. 대금 규모별로는 CJ올리브영 3400억원, CJ제일제당 약 1260억원, CJ대한통운 약 870억원을 각각 앞당겨 추석 연휴 전까지 순차적으로 지급할 계획이다.
CJ는 올해 내수경기 활성화에 기여하고 중소 협력사와의 상생경영 강화를 위해 조기집행 금액을 역대 최대 규모 수준으로 확대했다. 이에 따라 혜택을 받게 되는 중소 납품업체도 지난 해보다 약 3배 증가한 3700 여 곳으로 늘어나게 된다.
CJ그룹 관계자는 “CJ는 경영여건과는 별개로 지난 2015년부터 매년 명절마다 상생경영 실천을 위해 결제 대금을 앞당겨 지급해왔다”며 “명절을 앞두고 일시적으로 중소 협력업체에 가중되는 자금 부담 해소에 도움이 될 수 있길 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, CJ는 중소 협력사와의 동반성장을 위한 상생경영을 적극 실천하고 있다. CJ제일제당은 경쟁력 있는 협력사를 발굴해 필요자금 및 역량, 판로 등 지원을 통해 지속 가능한 성장기회를 제공하는 ‘즐거운 동행’ 사업을 지속하고 있다.
CJ대한통운은 미들마일 운송플랫폼 ‘더 운반’을 운영하면서 물류 생태계의 건전성을 제고하기 위해 차주(화물 기사)에게 거래금액 전액을 다음날 정산해 지급하는 운임 익일지급 시스템을 업계 최초로 도입했다. CJ올리브영은 입점 상품의 80 %이상을 국내 중소기업 상품으로 구성하고 있으며 온라인 글로벌몰을 통해서는 전 세계에 중소 K뷰티 상품을 소개하고 마케팅을 지원하는 등 국내 중소기업의 해외 진출 발판을 마련하는 노력을 하고 있다.
