[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 경남경찰청은 추석 연휴 전 13일 금요일, 경남 도내 전역에서 음주운전 일제단속을 실시한다고 11일 밝혔다.

최근 3년간 추석 연휴 기간 중 교통사고 및 음주운전 사고 현황을 보면, 총 391건의 교통사고가 발생했고 11명이 사망하였는데 그 중 음주운전으로 인한 교통사고는 43건이 발생하였고, 2명이 사망하였다.

이에 유흥가·식당가 및 귀성길 고속도로 진출입로 등에서 도경 기동단속팀, 경찰관기동대, 기동순찰대, 경찰서 교통외근 등 전 기능 가용경력을 총 동원하여 음주단속을 실시할 예정이다.
