[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] ‘의병의 성지’ 의령군에서 16일부터 19일까지 열린 제51회 의령홍의장군축제에 20만여명의 방문객을 기록했다.
올해 축제는 관람 중심에서 벗어나 참여와 체험을 강화하는 방식으로 구성됐으며, 의병정신을 과거의 역사에 머무르지 않고 오늘날에도 유효한 가치로 확장하는 데 중점을 뒀다.
특히 이번 축제의 백미인 의병출정퍼레이드는 천여 명이 참여한 대규모 행렬로 장관을 연출했다. 의병탑에서 출발해 축제장으로 이어진 퍼레이드는 의병의 기상과 공동체 정신을 상징적으로 보여주며 관람객들의 시선을 사로잡았다.
