산업현장에서 최고 수준의 숙련 기술인이 긍지와 자부심을 가지고 지역산업 발전에 이바지할 수 있도록 우대하고 지원한다.
선정 분야는 고용노동부 고시 ‘대한민국 명장 선정 직종’을 준용해 총 38개 분야 90개 직종에서 기술 보유 정밀도가 높고 숙련 기술 발전을 위한성과가 우수한 사람을 5명 이내로 선정할 계획이다.
신청 대상자는 대한민국명장 또는 그와 유사한 상을 받은 경력이 없는 사람으로 공고일 현재,광주시에 주민등록이 되어 있고 15년 이상 해당 직종에 종사했으며3년 이상 관내 사업장에 재직한 경력이 있어야 한다.
신청 기간은 오는 10월 14일까지며 신청은 광주시 홈페이지(고시 공고)에서 제출 서식을 출력해 관내 소재 기업의 장, 해당 직종 협회의 장이나 그밖에 숙련 기술과 관련된 비영리법인또는 단체의 장 추천서와 함께 광주시청 기업지원과로 직접 방문 또는 우편으로 접수하면 된다.
‘광주시 명장’은 서류 및 현장 심사를 거쳐 ‘광주시 명장 심사위원회’에서 12월 최종 선정할 예정이며 선정된 명장에게는 증서 및 명패·뺏지를수여하고 매년 100만 원씩 5년간 장려금을 지급한다.
