지난 11일 간담회는 지난 3월에 실시한 2024년 제1회 간담회에 이어 두 번째 개최하는 간담회로, 시민의 안전을 위한 소방정책 및 주요 업무 현안을 공유하고 긴밀한 공조체계를 유지하기 위한 자리로 마련됐다.
간담회에 참석한 김규식 김포부시장은 폭염이 지속되는 무더운 여름철에도 화재현장에서 시민의 생명과 안전을 지키기 위해 혼신의 노력을 다하는 소방공무원의 노고에 감사한 마음을 전했다.
간담회에서는 주택용 소방시설 설치 지원 사업 확대, 심폐소생술 교육 강화를 위한 실습용 애니(마네킹) 확보, 긴급구조통제단 전용차량 운영, 재난 대응력 강화를 위한 합동훈련, 공직자 응급처치 교육 등에 대해 실질적 토의가 이뤄졌다.
유해공 김포소방서장은 “최근 빈번한 화재 사고로 시민들의 불안감이 확산되고 있다. 이런 때일수록 유관기관 간 공조체계 강화와 적극적인 예방 활동이 중요하다“라며 기관 간 협력체계 강화를 강조했다.
이에 김규식 김포부시장은 “시민의 안전이 최우선이다. 앞으로도 소방서와의 긴밀한 협조를 통해 더욱 안전한 김포시를 만들어나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
