[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시가 '2025년 동아시아문화도시'로 공식 선포됐다.
일본 국립 교토 국제회관에서 열린 행사에는 용호성 문화체육관광부 차관, 모리야마 마사히토 일본 문무과학성 대신, 장정 중국 문화여유부 부부장이 참석했고, 2025년 선정도시인 한국의 김보라 안성시장, 마츠오다카시 가마쿠라시시장, 아오엉유 마카오 정부사회 문화사 사장, 홍후펑 후저우시장이 참석했다.
이번 제15회 한·중·일 문화장관회의에서는 안성시장을 비롯해 각국 대표에게 ‘2025년 동아시아문화도시’ 개최 선정패를 받고, 3국간 동아시아문화도시의 성공적인 개최를 위해 각국 및 도시간 협력을 다짐하는 자리도 마련됐다.
김보라 안성시장은 “한국, 중국, 일본 세나라는 가슴 아픈 역사도 갖고 있지만 오랜기간 활발히 왕래하고 교류하며 깊은 우정과 같이 살아오는 가치를 실현한 곳이며, 4개 도시는 수려한 자연환경과 오랜 역사문화 자원을 오래 보존하고 있다는 공통점과 큰 인연이 있다”고 인사말을 했다.
이어 “안성시는 장인정신이 살아있는 명품 유기를 제작하며 안성맞춤이라는 고유어를 탄생시키는 고장이다. 고집스럽지만 거짓이 없으며 상대방의 약속을 지키고 무엇이든 최고의 가치를 추구하는 것이 안성이 지닌 장인정신이다. 3국간 상생과 화합을 통해 세계인들에게 동아시아 문화전파를 위해 함께 노력했으면 좋겠다”고 선정 소감을 말했다.
‘동아시아문화도시’는 지난 2012년 제4회 한·중·일 문화장관회의 합의사항으로, 3국간 문화 다양성 존중이라는 가치 아래 ‘동아시아의 의식, 문화교류와 융합, 상대 문화 이해의 정신’을 실천하기 위해 매년 각 나라에서 문화적 전통을 대표하는 도시를 선정하여 다채로운 문화교류를 추진하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다.
안성시는 올해 1월 문화체육관광부에서 주관한 ‘2025 동아시아문화도시’에 경기도 최초 선정되었으며, 내년 공식행사인 개·폐막식을 비롯해 지역을 대표하는 문화축제 등 동아시아 문화도시와 연계한 다양한 프로그램을 마련하여 지역문화를 세계에 알릴 계획이다.

Under the value of respecting cultural diversity among the three countries, the aim is to select a city representing cultural traditions from each country every year and promote diverse cultural exchanges in order to practice ‘East Asian consciousness, cultural exchange and fusion, and the spirit of understanding each other’s culture.’
Anseong City was the first in Gyeonggi Province to be selected as the ‘2025 East Asian Cultural City’ by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in January of this year, and plans to promote local culture to the world by preparing various programs linked to the East Asian Cultural City, including the official opening and closing ceremonies next year and cultural festivals representing the region.
